First of all thanks to everyone for coming out to our hELOween party at the Mercury Lounge. It was an amazing night for us and definitely a step up in terms of stage extravagance, a 10-piece Robbers! We just posted some fall shows on the live page.

First up is a show at the Rock Shop next Saturday opening for a great band from Chicago, The 1900s. Not too be missed.

Then we’ll be playing Wild Turkey Fest, a holiday party with a lot of bands and sponsors – cheap drinks and a $5 door sounds pretty good to us…

On December 7th we’ll be back at the Rock Shop for one of 5 GREAT NIGHTS, 5 GREAT CAUSES – a benefit concert residency hosted by the band Palomar. Our night will also feature Vs. Antelope and Magnetic Island. Proceeds go to Air Traffic Control. In addition to single tickets passes to all 5 nights are available. There are some great bands playing.

And finally our friends at Modern Mystery have invited us to play their first ever Holiday Show at the Bower Electric, our triumphant return only a mere 3 weeks after our debut show (see above). The show will feature us, Bottle Up & Go, Yellow Ostrich, y/y, The Twees, & Marc Pinansky. All proceeds go to Toys For Tots.

Rocktober – CMJ/ELO

Hello Hello,

Hope your fall is off to a most excellent start, ours is too. Just finished posting a few shows. We’ll be playing 2 gigs for this year’s CMJ festival in town. One on the night of Thursday October 21st at Cameo Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and another Saturday afternoon, October 23rd at Sol Moscot (yes the eyewear store) on Delancey.

We’re also pleased to announce that after two long years our good friends from Birmingham, UK, the Electric Light Orchestra are coming back to town! We happily agreed to lend them our gear and set up a show for them at the Mercury Lounge. They’ll be playing on Halloween night, Sunday October 31st (don’t ask me why they keep insisting on playing Halloween) with NYC’s potato chip connoisseurs Black Dragon and The Blue Album Group. Yes they pay tribute to the eponymous Weezer album.

There’s gonna be a Showdown!!

Band in Boston Podcast

Check out our living room studio performance of some new jams, old hits and a version of “Something To Say” by The Action at the Band in Boston’s Flophouse Sessions. It was recorded by a little dog named Smokey.

Also, Philadelphians take note – we’re playing this Sunday, September 26th at World Cafe Live as part of the Philly F/M Fest. Tickets and info here.

And thanks to everyone in DC, Brooklyn and New England that came out to see us earlier this month. Much appreeshed!!

Happy to announce that our new 45, “Electric Eye” b/w “Face In The Fog,” is out today on Engine Room Recordings. The vinyl is limited to 500 copies and comes with a download card. Order HERE or click “Buy CD” below. No it’s not on CD, just an anomaly of internet embedding I guess, however it will be released digitally on iTunes June 22nd.
