In celebration of the Electric Light Orchestra's guiding light, Jeff Lynne, who will turn 65 years young, on Sunday December 30th, we'll be dusting off the flares and Steppin' Out as ELO for one night and one night only at The Bell House!

If any of you saw our previous two performances of this special set you know there is NO half-stepping.

New EP released, NY & Boston shows this week

Our new 4 song EP Anything Could Happen was released yesterday and is available as a digital download and on limited edition 12" vinyl. Only 200 copies of the vinyl were pressed and it features a hand silkscreened jacket designed and printed with the band. Pick up a copy of the wax or digital download from our store or on iTunes.

This weekend we'll be playing release shows in Boston and New York as well as an instore appearance at 4pm on Saturday, April 21st for Record Store Day at In Living Stereo on Great Jones in Manhattan.

And if that's not enough hot Robbers action for one week, our Daytrotter session will be up for your listening/downloading pleasure this Friday, April 20th. Happy Spring baby!

"Anything Could Happen" EP release April 21st

We're happy to be releasing our newest EP, "Anything Could Happen", to the masses! It's a collection of songs from the last year that deserve a little extra attention of the 12" vinyl variety. (also available for download) Basically, it's 20+ minutes of music that may or may not rip through the fabric of space and time; a wormhole that takes you where you want to go... Well, 5 songs that you're really going to dig anyways!

To celebrate this thing, we're playing the ol' stomping ground that is Mercury Lounge with the likes of Diamond Doves on April 21st. It's going to be a blast and we want you there!

For all of our friends in the Boston area, we're also playing a show at Radio in Somerville on April 20th. That's going to be a good one too.

Just posted some shows next month. First one in Brooklyn at Union Hall on March 3rd with Great Lakes and Youngman Grand. Killer bill, gonna be a good 'un! Then a handfull of dates the following week in Cleveland, Chicago, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. Check 'em out here. Also stopping in for a Daytrotter sesh so look for that in the spring.

"Anything Could Happen" EP announced/"Hey Unbelievers" on Royal Pains

Happy New Year everyone! Today we announced the release of our Anything Could Happen EP, available digitally and on vinyl on April 17th. It features 3 new tracks and an outtake from Hey There Golden Hair, "The Letter," argueably our craziest song to date. The vinyl is limited to 200 copies a quarter of which already sold via our PledgeMusic campaign and our Western and Southern tour dates last year. It features a hand silk-screened jacket designed by Ben and Jeremy Phillips.

Also, hear "Hey Unbelievers" TONIGHT on Royal Pains, USA 9/10C. I'm not sure what it's about, I wanna say Henry Winkler, either way it's sure to help put a dent in our Peter Luger's credit card bill.

We'll be announcing some March and April tour dates so check back soon.

We're closing out the New Year with a FREE show at Rockwood Music Hall, Stage 2. This Friday, December 2nd we hit at 9pm and then we're heading up to HiFi for an afterparty featuring drink specials and tunes spun by Ben and Mikey. It'll be your last chance to catch us in 2011 so chose wisely!

New Album and Tour Coming From Robbers On High Street

Brooklyn rock band Robbers On High Street has just announced that its upcoming third album, Hey There Golden Hair, will be released September 13. The album, produced by frontman Ben Trokan with engineer Matt Shane, marks the first time that the band recorded with its current lineup. With the exception of Daptone’s horn section, the band had little outside help.

Hey There Golden Hair will be released in association with fundraising site PledgeMusic, and anyone who pre-orders the album or makes a “pledge” will receive a free digital EP with various exclusive prizes, depending on the size of the pledge. These rewards include autographed limited vinyl, the chance to drive around Brooklyn with the band in its van, the Gentleman’s Cruiser, and the recording of a cover song of your choice. You can download an exclusive live version of “Watch Me Disappear,” a new track off of the upcoming album, here.

Although the album is not coming out until the fall, Robbers On High Street will be keeping busy all summer. The band has a residency at Brooklyn Bowl on Monday nights in August and will follow that up with the Truck Festival, a West Coast tour in September and then a visit to Pensacola, FL, in October.
